Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Choosing the right SEO keywords - tutorial, what'ya think?

Guys,
I posted this tutorial on the slideshare:
App Store SEO #2 choosing keywords
(it's a part two of this one: App Store SEO tutorial )

The tutorial deals with the procedure of choosing the right keywords to position for.

What do you think? Is it clear enough? Does it read like an useful piece of advice, or like an ad for AppCod.es?

I'm new to this keyword thing. While I know choice of keyword is important. But does that formula actually guarantee exposure?

Does the promo code in your sig work? If so I'll be sure to try out the paid version as soon as I get my debit card from my moms. I'll probably renew it as well. If anything, it will give me app ideas.

@ilman: when it comes to Apple there are no guarantees :), but yeah - it's quite good

    @Newbie123: yes, it works.

Tried to signup and it wanted me to use a PayPal account (which I don't have), so I put in all my information and card info. After hitting submit, PayPal gave me this message:
Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.
The only option after that is to "Go to my PayPal account" which is impossible because I didn't get to create one (it never even asked for a password).

I'm interested in this service, but because of bad payment options (which don't even work) I think I'll probably have to pass. May I suggest an alternative payment solution? 2Checkout? Authorize.net? Plimus? All work better than PayPal for accepting credit/debit card payments.

EDIT: Tried a total of three times. Same error each time. I'm in USA, using a Visa debit card. I ensured all my info was correct.

Can you give me possible case studies proving it works? If you can tell me, then I will buy your app :).

Thanks for your tutorials and your keyword guessing tool. They helped boosting my app's sales by over 100%. I suggest everybody new to SEO should start from there

However, in the second tutorial, I would like to see more emphasis on the Google keyword tool. The reason is that although we have thousands of keywords, we can only use a few dozens of them. And the reported numbers from Google keyword tool can more or less reflect relative popularity of the keywords (and actual people's need) in search in the App Store. So we can filter them out and pick the best ones to fit into the 100-character space

Also, regarding the keyword guessing tool, would you have any schedule to update the data? As I changed my app's keywords two months ago, yet I still see the old keywords

I think everybody should take SEO very very seriously. App development already takes more than months of time, you wouldn't mind squeezing out a few extra days to work out the SEO to potentially double the revenue

While I didn't try out the search position predicting app, I can certainly see this enabling us to rapidly and interactively fine-tune the keywords, a big time saver. While the search algorithm complexity of the App Store is still manageable, taking the advantage of this tool would be very beneficial
