Anyone get metadata rejected recently?

App went in revew on Saturday and metadata rejected on sunday. I fixed the age raiting and submitted the new metadata and still waiting for review.

The last time I was metadata rejected it only took an hour to be in review again.

If it takes 7 or so days for your app to go into Review, would it be a bad idea to submit your app on a Sat or Sun? As I don't think anybody would be around on a weekend?

Reviews happen every day of the week.

Mine has been waiting 9 days now. I think they just don't have enough manpower.

Yea most of my apps have been taking 8 days to go through now. I guess it goes through periods of being busy like now and periods where it takes 6 days like for a while a couple months ago.

Maybe it is just taking longer and longer because:

1. There are more and more apps and,
2. The longer the delay, the more chance that the developer has another update to upload as soon as the existing one goes live i.e. more improvements.

Mine are into their 10th day of waiting now. Truly crap service.

I would contact them , average is going up : Average App Store Review Times

In the last 1-2 years has the wait gone up from 4-5 days to 7+?

And it is just going to go higher and higher unless they do something about it. I'm guessung Windows Phone and all the others are just as bad.

The review times seem to go up and down.
This is just my personal experience since starting 1 year ago (Released 8 apps and several updates)

Back in July 2011-Feb 2012 for a few apps it seemed to always take 6-7 days to get a new app/update into review.
From Feb-May 2012 was more random for me from 5-7 days.

2-3 Weeks ago I had 5 things going into review (3 updates and 2 new apps) They all went through between 4-6 days

Now i've had an app 'Waiting for Review' since June 18 2012 10pm...so right now it's pretty much a full 7 days and still 'Waiting for Review'.

Maybe being the summer more of the staff is going on vacation which is slowing down the review time overall? But I have no idea how their review team works so who knows!

Wish we could know more about how the review process worked.

Wait times to go in to review are going to get very very long. Everyone and their mom will be "updating" their apps to adjust to the keyword changes. Apple should have just given everyone a one time change with out update but instead we are going to be looking at maybe 30+ days for review.

I just submitted 3 over the weekend and plan to fix the rest over this next week.

Out of interest, is there a consensus for what you should "do" with your keywords yet? Repeat the app title?

Wait why will everyone be updating their keywords? This is my first app submission, so perhaps I've missed something.

Apple changed their search algorithm. So now if the user uses a search phrase which contains a combination of words in your app title and words in your keywords.. your app will NOT show up in the results.

Ah I see, thanks. I'll have to look into that then. Also just a heads up, my app was just sent into review an hour ago and I just got the message that it is in processing for the App Store. So those of you down the queue should be getting reviewed soon.

Also proud of myself for making it through the review process on the first try for my first app haha.

I also noticed that the average for apps reviewed in the last 5 business days decreased. You can check it with the widget in the App Store Approval Process section of the iOS Dev Center.
