Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

Your application, XXX 1.0.3, is requiring unexpected additional time for review???

Hello, I submitted the update of my app on last Saturday. Yesterday I received the following message from Apple:

=======================================
Your application, XXX 1.0.3, is requiring unexpected additional time for review. We apologize for the delay, and will update you with further status as soon as we are able.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,

iPhone Developer Program
=======================================

What does it mean? Should I resubmit it again?

:confused::confused::confused:
Thanks.
Raymond

    Whereas I would once have said 'resubmit' without question, I had two of these in a day, both of which were <24 hours after submission. I just think they're going a little 'mental' with 3.0 coming out - let the dust settle then see what's happening. For the record, I did resubmit one of the two apps, only to get the same thing lol (and neither 'phoned home', so they didn't even check out the app).

    I am in the same boat. I am hopeful that it is just because of 3.0 craziness, but who knows. The other larger possibility is that are apps will be rejected. I have a feeling that the longer review time could be that the approval is flagged for mgr/team approval because there could be something that apple is worried about.

    After you resubmited it, how long you wait before Apple accepted the app?

    Thanks.

    From my personal experience... this email means that you are gonna be waiting some time. I am assuming that the reason for this is that the big boys at crapple must have to look it over for one reason or another. And we all know how long it takes for the management to get **** done...

    I would suggest resubmitting it.

    When I had this experience I resubmitted after no word for two weeks. Then after resubmittal, I was rejected about 7 days later.

    I received this email 2 days after re-submission for a couple of my apps. One was an update to an existing app, and the other was a 'lite' version of the same app. The emails came about 3 minutes apart.

    I had rejected my own binaries, and resubmitted both after I found some minor OS 3.0 issues I wanted handled.

    Prior to this, I had been waiting about a week and a half on both with no word, which was the longest I have ever gone. All previous updates were approved within 1 week, like clockwork.

    I'm still hopeful that my emails were due to the 3.0 backlog, but I suppose I'll either find out, or die of old age.

    So you are still waiting? How long you have been waiting?

    Thanks.

    It's been less than a week since my resubmission - so I'm not worried about the time yet, however I am concerned about the "unexpected additional time" email.

    For my case, I submitted two updates, one got the "additional time" email, another one didn't, I have been waiting for one week, both still on the waiting list, Apple used to process update in one week... so I am not sure what is happening...
