Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
I got an email from the "Alliance Team at MEDL Mobile" mentioning they are interested in buying one of my apps. I followed their link to their website and in the FAQ they say they might require code/build first before they assess and make an offer. It also says payment is made after they receive the source code. It feels a strange, but the prospect of selling my app is pretty enticing if the offer is right. Has anyone else dealt with them yet? Or do you know if they are legit. The link they told me to goto is a public page, so here it is Alliance - MEDL Mobile, Inc.

I definitely wouldn't give up any source code unless you have some type of legal document signed saying they can't use anything they see without proper consent and can't make anything similar within a certain amount of time. It sounds fishy to me just because if they like your app and the way it functions why do they really need to see the source code first?
Agreed. They said I could email them with questions so I replied saying although I am interested in selling my app, I couldn't agree to such conditions and I wasn't going to jump through hoops to sell an app I believed in. So if they are interested (as they emailed me) then please let me know the offer. (ie: genuine inquiries only)

The first thing I would do is to make sure it's not a mass-email, write back to them and ask some questions, see if they reply pertinently.
Secondly, I had a look at their website and their proposal looks too tight to me, 25% share on a gross revenues after break even and after apple's cuts, so basically 25% of $0.70 after break even and before all taxes, well that's not even $0.20 per copy, you'd need to sell gazzillions of them if you want to turn in any decent profit, hmmm looks like it could be nearly 0 in most cases.
Most importantly, they'll have all your source code, so they can go copycatting your app a billion times over, and you'll get 0 of all of that.
Just remember 1 thing, don't go against math and statistics, if they are going to buy your app and make a profit it normally means you are going to loose out. Dont believe in marketing and promotion miracles.
I got an email back from them and it clarifies a lot. Basically the initial form you fill out to submit your offer from that link I posted earlier is basically just things like: 1. This is my app name 2. This is its URL 3. So far i've got this many downloads and made this much 4. It cost me this much to build 5. Ive tried marketing it this way.
They then will have a look and assess if they want to and how much they will offer for the app, whether an outright buy or revenue share or nothing. I guess negotiations begin from there.
They also said they don't ask for source code until a contract that both parties agree to have been drawn up and signed, and I guess you can negotiate the contract conditions there too.
I submitted my app for review as I figured it cant hurt to see their offer and I didn't have to give up anything except how much revenue and downloads i've had, which isn't such a big deal.
Hi Everyone - My name is Dawn and I head up the Alliance for MEDL Mobile. We will work on cleaning up those FAQs so the information is more easily understood. Comicool is correct in that no source code changes hands until an agreement is in place, so it is all very much above board. I am happy to answer any other questions folks may have about the program.
