mobclix payments so late this month

I was also promised & guaranteed (over and over) payment by this week and HAVEN'T gotten it.. @gbh you're right, this is getting incredibly old.

i've even spoken to multiple people over there that said payment would be in my hands wednesday, or at the latest Thursday.

When I emailed & called Thursday... they said they would look into it immediately and call me back. They didn't call back.

Anyone else promised the same thing?

@cyberappguy I guess you are right. They have the money and just aren't paying us. Always the same talk, please wait patiently money will be paid in next few weeks. Reading they quarterly reports it seems like total bs now.

Yes, same story here. Haven't been paid over US $25k that we had earned since between Jan. Empty promises and nothing more. If more of us post in the connects section of Techcrunch, maybe it'll shame them into acting

I wonder why some people are saying they are getting paid and others not. Sounds screwy. I just started using them recently and the eCPM is pretty nice as long as they pay...

As far as I know, nobody has actually been paid on time. Mobclix is further behind on some people's payments than on others. Even there, it seems inconsistent, with some people having received May's payment before others, but then receiving June's payment after others. Screwy is hardly the word; clusterf*ck seems more appropriate. It's not just bad bookkeeping and screw-ups, its a liquidity crisis.

New announcement! Official payment dates

May Payments (February Revenue) : 8/15 (Done)
June Payments (March Revenue): 8/31
July Payments (April Revenue): 9/30 – 10/1

Good thing they gave some dates, now let's hope it's true... I got may payment some days ago but seeing some of you not yet it's one more reason to distrust. And, looks like a loooong way to catch up with net-90 again.

Based on the experience many of you are having here, I'd be a pain in the ass to them and bug them non-stop until you get paid. I've been through similar situations a few years back when working with resellers for Palm, and Win Mobile we had about $40K outstanding.

Payments kept getting behind, had to keep begging for them, they got further and further spread out. Always some new excuse. I had my assistant call or email every single day, we finally got paid. Shortly thereafter many other developers that I knew were screwed.

The reseller filed bankruptcy and the developers that had just hoped to get their payments ended up getting pennies after the lawyers did their thing. I was a much smaller developer and I was on top of making sure I got paid. Several other big companies were out so much more money (I saw the bankruptcy report and just how bad many developers got screwed), and I thought, why weren't they keeping on top of these payments?

Not saying this is going to happen with Mobclix, but I never ever expect another company to do the "right thing". If you've got money coming and the payments are outside of the time frame that was agreed to, it might be worth getting a lawyer to send a short note (it's cheap and usually effective).

Just some things to think about.

I think as a client to mobclix you have to right to know why your payment is late, with exact details. Even if you are paid without the details to what happen you should all jump ship to another provider.

That's great news. This gives us a justifiable hard deadline. If money isn't deposited by a couple of days after 8/31, we will stop all traffic, call up our attorney, and set the legal train on the choo-choo.

I wouldn't mind getting the may payment before 31st! It will be 4 months soon since last paid

Where did 120 come from?

for "April" revenue:

May + June + July + August + September (9/30 means whole September) ==5 months == Net 150!
