Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
Congrats to the seller! It looks to be about 3 years worth of future earnings if your stats include all earning of the app. I think the buyer is taking a HUGE risk if their plan is to recoup the earnings and someday profit. Who knows what the buyers intentions are though?
That revenue analysis is probably only showing the paid version purchase/iAd revenue.
He's probably got other ad network bringing in a lot more money especially if all those other stats are true - (350.000 Visits, >1.600.000 Pageviews, >12.000.000 Interactions - and that's all per Day)
To answer your questions, the dev has actually never sold advertising in either of the apps. I cannot speak for the buyer in this case, but I think the app's major appeal is its ranking (#61 Paid & #179 Free in the US App Store's Entertainment category). Additionally, having that many active users is extremely valuable as the cost of user acquisition for most apps is unreasonable.
The part of this I found to be most interesting is that 9GAG (the company itself) plans to enter the Android market 'later this year.' So it seems like a strategic play from the buyer in my opinion. The acquired Android version is absolutely killing 9GAG's official iPhone app right now in terms of traction/ marketshare, so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out A) once the new buyer implements his aggressive marketing/monetization strategy and B) when 9GAG finally releases its own official version to Google Play.
Developer of 9Gag Reader (now Meme Reader) on the Appstore here.
Really bad move for them, two weeks ago 9Gag made every 9Gag apps change their name so that they are the only one showing up when searching for 9Gag. Our downloads got divided by 6. They are going to do the same thing for Android.
Though I have to say that they are really nice to keep us running our apps using an other name !

Can we still use app name like ".... for 9gag"? just like facebook 3rd party apps
I'm going to read the apple terms and conditions closer when I get some time, because it just seems to odd to disallow developers from using the site in the name (and in the keywords, I assume, as when I searched only 2 apps showed up for 9gag). Surely they would benefit in the long run by having more apps available to access their content, which ironically is user sourced.

I think you make a good point about some of the benefits to having similar apps on the market in this type of situation. Also, this same thing has happened with the Tumblr and Flickr apps, so it seems odd to me that 9GAG would suddenly be so restrictive. I'm curious to hear what you conclude from the Apple terms & conditions..
What happened is that 9Gag wants to be the only 9gag app on the Appstore. If you end up appearing on 9Gag search results they WILL contact Apple to get your app off the Appstore. There still is one app showing up but they might have legal troubles since they also threaten developers to sue them for damages. But don't get me wrong, 9Gag is very comprehensive about all of that, and if you agree not using "9Gag" in description/tags/name, they will let you run the app. Also, 9Gag is now (currently being) trademarked, so Apple TOC are very clear about that, they don't allow you to use a trademarked name if you don't own it.
