Its pretty much impossible to put a number on this. Games like angry birds might do like 50-100k a day. There are tons of apps that make nothing every day.

If you are looking for a ratio some might be able to post numbers but without seeing your app its going to be hard to say how well it will do compared to others.

I am still baffled as to why some new(?) developers are asking about "how much you can get on average with ***** apps per day".

Apps market is very competitive, very random, and not fixed. Today you could make 10bucks a day from free app with IAP+ads, and tomorrow, 0. And it all comes down to YOUR APP. If your app is good, it will get good traction and you will get sales continuously. But 2 months later, a competitor comes up, and your sales will drop.

Serious, stop asking such questions. If you want a fixed income, go get a day job. Nuff said.

I do not think it's so hard to create an average value gain, mainly by the fact that most developers in this forum has on average the same level of quality of its apps (yes there you have uploaded some less quality but others with more I think being a minority), varying only by type and category etc but it can influence the value, but also allow the creation of a medium by category like games, productivity and so on.
As for financial stability generated by apps I believe it is the same as with a job as a job today you can be promoted and earn double and tomorrow be fired and win nothing or is it all depends on quality, experience and luck, and as I said I think most people here have the same level of these skills (taking one or the other more or less skill).
And yes, I'm a developer new to the world ios, find it very important to have a medium, because as I am new, I can make $ 2 a day and think it very good, while other applications alike earn $ 20, knowing the average do I know when my application is good or bad about sales and also when to take action with respect to sales.
Searching on the forum i found a lot of topics like this, but all are very old (one and a half years or more) and since that time much has changed.

I picked up programming with Objective C and started learning for the first time on April 28th of this year. On June 8th, I submitted my first app to the app store, and after two rejections, had it finally accepted on June 28th. Thus far, I have had $5 worth of in-app purchases. Just some perspective. Don't expect even dollars a day if you're new to the game.

You have to make popular apps to earn 25$/ day. In the past i had a game on Google Play ranked N°14 in overall game and it has bring me 1200$ /month but i'm unable to replicate this story...

With around 10/15 IOS apps and 1 year on IOS i earn ~900$/month.

At one point I was making $20-40/day with Tangled but now I'm lucky if I hit $10

I don't know if easy is the best way to think of it. Is it possible, yes. It all depends on how much work you're willing to put in. Are you willing to advertise? What are you going to do to market your app?

I have a paid news app that makes around $10 per day without any advertising. When I have spent $10 to $15 dollars on ads, it has made anywhere between $15 and $65 per day.

My personal opinion. If you want stable income, avoid game and entertainment category. Find some niche idea and create some app which is special and with no competition.

If it is for a very special group of people, make a lite version with IAP and set the IAP price high (not 0.99USD).

Of course your app should worth the price tag.

    Hope that helps.

My app is doing about $4000 a month, 25% of that from ads. It has been doing that consistently for over two years and I expect this to continue or improve as I add new features. It is a utility app with zero marketing. My another utility app is only doing $15 a day, but I expect that to improve to around $50 a day as soon as I release next update and maybe do some marketing.

You shouldn't make a app just to get the money. If that's your reason to start developing apps you should quit. But the best tip i can give is not to think about the money and first making sure the app is looking good and working.
