Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
I am in progress of implementing iPhone in app purchase for my application to sell songs.
Songs would be added and delivered from my web server to iphone app.I want to give user to buy individual song or subscribe to particular category like Love, Friendship, etc. All the individual purchase of song costs $0.99.
Some links / references states that if i want to sell 100 products/songs means , i have to add 100 entry in iTunes portal.
Here i would like to know one-thing, As i am selling all the individual poem at the same cost , so can i create only one in app purchase item /entry and use the same product id for all the songs?
When a user taps "Buy" for single song in my app, i query the same product id and display like "Do you want to buy this song for $0.99" and when the user taps "Ok", the payment process gets completed and i call my web service with song-id and deliver the song content for that user.
Will there be any disadvantage / downside in using the same product id for all the songs ( individual songs purchase ) in the iTunes.
Also I think Non consumable would be relevant for this single song purchase. but i would like to know what would be the correct type to use Consumable / Non consumable?
Please let me know your thoughts and thanks for stopping by...
If you use one identifier for all the songs, the users will only have to pay once for all your songs. The app store/iTunes will check if the user have paid for the product with the given identifier and if he has he won't have to pay for it again.
That's my understanding of how it works. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If you really want something in this life you have to work for it. Now quiet, they're about to announce the lottery numbers.
