Convert NSUinteger into a NSString doesn't work

Hi guys,
today I've tried to convert a NSUinteger into a NSString like this:

    NSString *viewString = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", [aShot viewsCount]];

    NSLog(@"%@", viewString);

but the console returns nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

Is aShot nil? Also, what kind of class is aShot and what does viewsCount return? Did you mean views.count ? I don't think there is enough information about aShot to answer your question. You can set a breakpoint at your first line you posted and then evaluate your variables in the console view.

try using this format just to guarantee that something gets logged:

NSLog(@"output: %@", viewString);

what type of structure is aShot?

Thank you all for your answers, here you can find all the informations about aShot and viewCount.

RickSDK is right, in the console I can't see anything! Syntax looks right, so I have no idea about what's going on...

Maybe the code isn't even being called. Have you walked through the code in the debugger and evaluated your variables and verified you are actually calling NSLog ?

Its one thing to say there is nothing in the log, another to say, I validated that [aShot viewsCount] is returning a valid value and my code is executing but there is nothing in the console.

So, everything was right but I learned that when you build for release you can't see the logs so I just created a new scheme for build and everything works! Thanks for you help :)

That does not happen automatically. You would have had to do something in order to prevent the logs from appearing.
