Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
I didn't see any other threads talking about this. If you have any issues with your code running this latest version let me/us know. Like many of you I decided not to install any of the 2.1 beta bits as i'm actively working on my app to be released soon.
I dont want to rehash what all the other 'non-dev' sites are already saying about 2.1 but where it counts the most.. installing apps .. is now how it always should have been. new apps can be purchased, downloaded, installed and running in around ten seconds depending on the app and that's awesome for the first impressions from our users.
Well, I have trouble upgrading my development iPod Touch and iPhone 3G with OS2.1B4 installed to the final version of the 2.1 OS. iTunes just states: 2.1 is the latest version. Great ! :-( But it is the beta of 2.1 Does anyone know what the build number of the final OS2.1 for iPod Touch and iPhone 3G is?
Well you're right. The build 9M2517 is for the 2.1 SDK. I was looking for the latest build of the iPhoneOS2.1 which seems to be 5F136. The build of Beta4 is 5F116.
Are there other developers out there having trouble upgrading a OS2.1 B4 (5F116 build) iPod Touch or iPhone 3G using iTunes 8?
Yes I am having the same problem Apple has not posted the build on Dev site and you can not download it from Support page or iTunes because it thinks you are running the latest version, does any one have a link to 5F136

Use the iPhone SDK for iPhone OS 2.1 (build 9M2517) only on devices that have been upgraded to iPhone OS 2.1 (updated 9/10/2008

I can still build fine for the device. I've tried fiddling ith my build settings, but nothing has worked.
I can still work on the app running on my device, but it's annoying not to be able to run the simulator.
