Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
I want to build an app with a requirement which is not so common, apparently. I searched the net for a tutorial or explanation but I can't find any good information.
Situation: I have an app with a firstscreen with 3 buttons. When I click on a button, I want View1 to appear with a UITabBarController so I can show the tabbar and switch between the different views in the UITabBarController. But I can't get the UITabBarController to be shown in the screen.
All the tutorials show how you create an app with the TabBarController as your root controller (so in the first screen) but this is not what I want.
Is it possible to create a UITabBarController on a second (or third) view and how is this done? Preferably using Interface Builder.

Hi there,
I built a quick demo project for you. I added a UIButton to one viewController and when you tap it, you call a UITabBarController. The UITabBarController has two items (viewControllers). The first viewController contains a UIButton, that allows you to get back to the original viewController. As requested, I mainly used IB. Please pay good attention to connections, etc...
