iOS 5 - problem with custom navbar

Hi. In iOS 4 i could use

@implementation UINavigationBar (CustomNavBar)

-(void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect
{
UIImage *navImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"NavBar.png"];
[navImage drawInRect:CGRectMake(0, 0, self.frame.size.width, self.frame.size.height)];
}

@end

to achieve a custom navbar, but in iOS 5 somehow i can not. Is there a new way or something

This code will work in iOS 5, but not below iOS 5.
Implement this in your viewDidLoad:

UINavigationBar *navBar = [[self navigationController] navigationBar];
    UIImage *backgroundImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@\"imagename.png\"];
    [navBar setBackgroundImage:backgroundImage forBarMetrics:UIBarMetricsDefault];
