Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

mm I wouldn't depend on it 100%. I wouldn't quit my job to be an ios developer. You can do it part time and see how it works out for u. if you r making money then quit ur job. But don't put all of your eggs in one basket. apple store is changing everyday, there is a lottttttt of competition. Do it for fun now and see how it goes then make it ur career.

Hello, I think in first the iphone developement cannot disappear now becaues it is a great growth and it is only the beginning. but I think little by little programming languages will be much easier and require less knowledge . this is my opinion , because before we used the assembler, and Fortran and now it's C/C++ Objective -c they are more easier to learn than Assembler
Even if the iPhone fails and Android becomes the dominant mobile platform, Objective C will still be useful for development on Mac OS X. Any company which wants to port its software to the Mac and have it look and feel like a native application will probably want to have at least one Objective C developer onboard.

i think the future of IOS developer is depend on our and Apple. If we can make many many good app and game on the Iphone, Ipad, Ipod... If App can make good update on Iphone 6, 7, 8..... But i think the future is bright.
iPhone apps are made in C/c++ language so they do have a bright future even if the iOS drowns some day you will still have a good knowledge of these languages allowing you to get settled with a stable technology.
If this thread is going to get more serious I should point out, so far this thread is way better if you focus on the stock avatar heads that appear to be thinking hard and then imagine the avatars saying in one line how bright the future is. It's one of my brightest threads.
There are a lot of iPhones being sold, the smartphone in my opinion is the most popular portable gaming device, and in the future always will be. But like another user said, don't quit your job to pursue it. It may not be right for you.
Everything changes. Right now iPhone app development is doing well. In the next couple of year could something come along and change all that? Maybe but I think spending the time to learn iPhone development would be a good use of time and effort.
