Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
How to turn my old App Icon; Splash Screen to the new Retina Display format using Adobe Photoshop6
I know this might sound like a newbie question but where it goes. I need to make 2 apps I currently have on the app store compatible with IOS 6. I need to start with the App Icon and launch Images. I need to know how do I fixed them up using Adobe Photoshop 6 for the Mac.
The icons are no different, assuming you already have a retina version of your icon. If you don't have a retina version, go to your 512 pixel version of the icon that you created for the store and downsample that to create the retina icon.
As for how to create your 4" retina launch image, it depends. At the simplest, you could stretch your existing retina splash screen from 460 to 568 in height. Stretching doesn't usually look very good however. The alternative is to go back to the photoshop file you used to create your launch image and adapt it for 568 point (1136 pixel) height. That might mean using Context-Aware fill to fill in the blank areas, or moving around the elements to increase the space between them, or simply filling the whole screen area with your background color.
There is no single, automated approach that will let you convert your existing launch artwork to the 4" retina launch artwork for the iPhone 5.
