Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
Apple Products Turned into Art in London Exhibition
TUAW reports today on a new, free exhibition at Londons Science Museum (which is always well worth a visit anyway) called Electroboutique Pop-up, which will surely be of interest to Apple fans. The exhibit is the work of Russian artists Alexei Shulgin and Aristarkh Chernyshev, and it features several artworks based on Apple products. For example, you have a giant iPhone that has been stretched out into a spiral shape, a warped iPod, and a dog using an iPad. According to the Science Museum blurb, the works use live data, sophisticated custom electronics and bespoke software. The Science Museum also says that while the exhibit is a lot of fun to interact with, it also has a deeper meaning if you choose to look for it, and is designed to lightly raise more serious questions around art production, design aspiration, technological progress, consumerism, capitalism, media control, and the languages of corporate social responsibility.
Electroboutique Pop-up runs until Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in the Science Museum in London, and you will find it on the Ground Floor Mezzanine.
