Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
$7,500 advertising budget for upcoming app - Where to spend?
I have $7,500 to spend on advertising for my upcoming utility app. My goal is to reach the 100 iTunes Top Paid Apps list. Which are the best ways to spend this money?
My app will be available for $0.99 for the first week and I don't want to make it free for services like FreeAppDay.
What came to my mind is sponsoring some tech blogs, maybe the Syndicate Ads network. What do you think about that?
Do you have any advice for me? I really don't know where to spend this money.
Gnome Escape (www.gnomeescape.com) can help promote your app in the following ways:
1. Provide a free review of your app giving you enhanced SEO visibility on the web
2. Provide installs of your app to a user base looking to discover new iPhone apps for fixed CPI.
3. Provide web based mechanism to encourage users to review your app once they download.
There is no code integration required for tracking and you don't have to put your app "on sale" for the service to work.
Gnome Escape is perfect for promoting paid apps and looks like a good fit. The team behind Gnome Escape previously founded Playphone - one of the big direct to consumer mobile storefronts. These guys know what they are doing.

Services and Apps I Recommend Gnome Escape is the best way to generate buzz and feedback for your app. AppStoreRankings.net The best service for checking out your app keyword rankings Cellufun Very fun gaming community
$7500 is quite tiny, you won't get any ROI on that with advertising.
Pay somebody for a couple of months to generate a hell lot of interest in your app, in any way shape or form, forums, beg newspapers, cool contests, even locally.

We'd buy reviews in some big non-english-speaking countries like france, germany, italy, spain and try to get to the top there. It would be really cheap (reviews on european review sites cost no more than 150 EUR). So you won't spend more than $500 on this stage in total (for several countries).
Once your app reaches some top position, stress this fact everywhere (in your app description, site and in your press releases). This way reviewers of US websites will be more confident in your app (both Spain or Italy can't be wrong about your app, so it should definitely be good) and may write review it for free. This way you'll get into US TOP Paid 100 much easier.
We can help you to connect to international review sites - see sig.
iSpreadNews.com - VERY CHEAP (from $63) way to send your iPhone/iPad app announcement to hundreds of blog & news sites owners over the globe.
Just remember that there other countries besides US!

The $7,500 are only for the US market. I already have campaigns for Europe, South America and Asia, only the US is missing.
It must be possible to break into the Top 100 Paid with $7,500? Does anyone have great ideas?

There was a similar post a few weeks ago (with less money to spend though): http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/promotion-techniques/103462-best-way-spend-5000-promo.html
I'm biased but I'd say to start with the basics
- great app with great design/icon
- app website
- app video
Cool app promo videos and trailers.

What else can I do? Does anyone have experience with Gnome Escape?
Thanks,
