Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.
Hello, I am about to release my first app. It is for a niche market & I have created a bit of a buzz in this area on FB. I have had a couple bloggers/proffessional speakers in this field contact me asking about advertising on my app. I am planning to release this as a paid app so I don't feel comfortable adding banners or any adds. However these are influential bloggers & having their review & support could go along way. Any tips for a newbie on how to handle this. Thank you

Interesting indeed, what i would do is "calculate" what gives you more in ROI! Having those bloggers/proffesional speakers pay a decent price that makes up for the amount of money you would get by making the customer pay for the app instead. Me personally would choose the "freemium, ads" way to go (in almost all cases), i think that would benefit you more in the long run!
You can also have them pay a smaller price for the app then you originally would set the price app price at, and then run ads as well, but i don't think this is an ideal strategy unless your app is VERY GOOD, where you can pretty much make them pay whatever price for your service that no one else gives? Just my two cents..
Thank you for replying. How much does in app advertising usually cost? I am new to all this & have no idea what would be a good amount to charge
I've got a vertical app myself and have been approached several times by various people regarding advertising in it, and frankly short of them writing a very very very big monthly check I wouldn't do it.
The choice is yours, but advertising, unless you have a large installed base, generally doesn't pay all that well, vertical apps are different beasts than typical apps, you should be able to get a premium for the ads, but you also open the door to criticism and backlash as well if your app really is useful and timely in nature. If you have an app users fire up to do or get some piece of information right there, and clutter it up with ads, that negates the user experience.
End of the day the choice is yours, I would consider advertising in my apps, but it would require big checks, and long term commitments, not going to just sell out my organic growth because someone wants access my user base that I have worked hard to grow.
Decision is of course yours, and every man has his price I suppose, but for me, I am looking for long term growth and potential over short term flash and bang, so I am dubious about advertising in any add that isn't free.
