Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

Recommended ways to promote a "not-so-hot" app for FREE

When I say free, I say it literally....no money, no budget.
When I say "not-so-hot", I say it literally...it's not a hot game, it's not original, it has over 30 competitors in the app store.

What's so cool about the app? It's free....ok, that's cliche...there's a lot of apps that are free. It is also one of the very FEW apps that is BOTH free and has MORE games within one app than any of the top 10 apps in its category. Solitaire* is in the top 50 in US, EU, Japan, and China. It is free with 36 games, more games than most of the apps in the top 20 in the app store. Problem is, the big app review sites won't review the app because it's not unique, original, or hot. It's just a Solitaire game. My goal at the moment is to aim for the small blog/review sites and social networking sites. What do you guys suggest?

    Your subject line says "not-so-hot" and you say "not unique", but you spend most of the of the post telling us why your app is hot and unique and cool. I would promote it like that - "Solitaire* is one of those rare apps that is both free and includes more games than most of the apps in the top 20!" - something like that.

    What kind of installs and DAU do you have?

    From a general perspective, Solitaire IS considered a "not-so-hot" game and our game is "not unique" because we have over 30 competitors out there. From a closer viewpoint, the game can be seen as unique because it has more games than any Solitaire app in the top 20. I know this because I've tried a lot of Solitaire apps that caught my eye and they all had maybe 1-3 games compared to Solitaire*'s 36.

    Installs average around 330-450 daily. DAU is average 14,800.
