Best ad network around?

sauchankasauchanka MinskPosts: 5New Users Noob
Hey guys, newbie here

Expert commentary needed. Which ad networks (both supplying video ads and regular banners/interstitials) have performed well in your apps both on iOS (and/or Android) lately?
If this matters - I'm going to monetize a very elementary clicker and I assume I'm going to incorporate several video ad networks (maybe mediate them through fyber or something) plus regular pop-ups. Any advice is welcome, thanks

So far TapJoy is the best offer on the market.

@sauchanka - well it really depends on the type of App you have. As per my experience following

Casino Apps - Chartboost (Interstitial )
Casino Apps - Admob Banner Ads
Trivia Apps - Applovin (Interstitial + Video)
Trivia Apps - iOS Banner Ads

I agree. FAN is giving a good eCPM but have to consider using it with a mediation network to keep the fill rate high. In my case, nothing can beat AdMob..

    Thank you, guys!

Audience Network looks like the option so far.

Admob was my big network but now CB is. The two networks go back and forth though for which is the better earner. I use heyzap mediation so it could be something with that.

Heyzap is also my mediation network (AdMob, FAN and iAd). I was searching for a replacement for iAd, I will consider CB since I haven't tried it before.

Here is an image comparing AdMob (in red) against FAN in one of my apps.

    Hi!

Nate from Chartboost here. Rather than doing the obvious and pushing my own network, I firmly believe the best way to answer this question is through thorough testing.

So, set up a controlled test comparing multiple networks and then arrange a waterfall of ads prioritizing the display of networks from best to worst. You'll want to look at things like fill rate, eCPM, ease of integration/reporting etc. There are definitely automated mediators like Heyzap (who we work with) who can assist you with this experiment.

    Best of luck,
    Nate

    Thanks, @Kneyght, @efndz, @Oddball

Random fact: just launched a CPI campaign for my Facebook app on the native platform (guess they used to call it "app install ads" some time ago).

I do hope their monetization services work better than promotional: it's been almost a day since the start of the campaign and still not a single impression (although max bid I placed is very competitive for the GEO selected). It seems user acquisition options are pretty buggy at Facebook.

Have you tried a free or a paid application?

    @AlisaLev it's a Facebook Canvas app, so - free.

@sauchanka What was your max and Geo? I'd be curious to see how we compare.

Here is something that can't be manipulated or twisted by ad network evangelists:
    https://thinkgaming.com/mobile-ad-networks/

FBAN is one of the best now.
Around $7-8 and higher eCPM on static.
The reason I belive is that there are no CPI on FB.
It only optimizes impressions, not allowing suboptimal ads to eat your traffic like in CPI networks.
    iAd/AdMob eCPM is around $5.

If you try ChartBoost then please share your stats.
It just stopped working for us recently - eCPM dropped to $2 or less.
Videos are $7, while other networks show $12-20.

DE and US, 5k+1,5k installs per day roughly (correspondently), CPI ranging from as low as >0.3 for Germany to 1.3+ for the US (did not think much of targeting, hence the result). How did yours perform?

I work for AdBuddiz and just wanted to chip in my two cents. The eCPM figures vary depending on your app audience and location, one network may work great for some developers and less well for others. Like others here, I would also recommend that you test different ad networks and even different ad formats before settling down with "the winner".

Bare in mind however that practical as ad mediation platforms may be, they are not always the best solution for smaller apps (less than 10 000 impressions per day). Most good ad networks use algorithms that rely on data to understand the specificities of each audience in order to push up the right ad. So splitting an already small traffic into smaller segments might work against you.

    Hope that helps!

LOL :) I'm really curious why all the network that "use data" show the same banners/videos to the same user over and over again with stupid crap (like clash of kings and similar shit) they either had installed and deleted or will never install. This is ridiculously stupid approach.

Actully this "data" in most cases is bluffing and networks just show the most paying customer ad first and second impression.

For CPI networks it's now a disaster as users are being spammed with the same ads over and over.

With all due respect AdBuddiz this is nonsense in the case of your ad network (and most if not all other networks for that matter) and you know it. I have first hand experience with your network. Same limited inventory over and over again with close to zero eCPMs. YMMV.

To make matters worse your (limited) inventory NEVER exhausts. You repeat the same ads over and over so it's impossible to use another network to backfill AdBuddiz. I have Adbuddiz 3rd after AdMob (1st) then Chartboost (2nd). Need another 3rd choice ad network tbh.

Hopefully your video ads will be an improvement over your static interstitials. Best of luck.

I have a utility app. Admob just disabled ad serving to my app. I had interstitial on just one button click where the shake to enable/disable button was pressed by user then the full screen admob ad will show.
I hadn't added any cap on ads on admob dashboard.
Now I will appeal to admob after adding a cap on number of ads per 5 minutes.

Heyzap looks the ideal solution for me too. Thanks for suggesting it my friends. Hopefully heyzap doesn't have any network latency issue between requesting and serving mediation ads.

lol! Just when I started to use heyzap, I get an email from them that they are acquired by parent company of Fyber and some changes in the SDK and working of Heyzap is to be expected. I will hold on doing changes.
