Did you got news from Freegameoftheday? Did they asked you more as your game is not integrated with Openfeint?

I did hear from them, they continue to recommend their services, but the topic of price was not mentioned. I'm good to go on Nov 14th!

In fact they seemed very interested in my views on the Free-To-Play business model and were quite friendly. Did their research too, knew exactly how my game was doing, congratulated on the success and everything. I was quite impressed.

There are also CPI networks like Tapjoy where you can buy installs.
IIRC it's about 0,30$ per install for free apps.
Perhaps this would be interesting for you since you have such high ROI.

On Tapjoy, pay-per-install is $0.35 for a free app in the offerwall. I think it is more expensive if you use a banner ad.

By the way, I do have big question about FGOTD from Openfeint.
How did and where did you order their service?
I can't find at Free Game of the Day link for ordering.
We do have Openfeint integration in our game, but don't know how to order free game of the day from them.
Can you please help?

Supposedly so were they. It doesn't change the fact that this promotion was just a minor bump, nothing worth reporting.

I did notice that the quality of their users is... how do I put this... now what I would expect. The comments I saw under Dragon Lords feature in the Game Channel were all negative, which is rather surprising given that the game has 4.5 stars rating based on over 1,000 reviews. Seems like a community that likes to bitch and moan more than anything else. Also, I didn't see *any* spike in revenue.

I've just been contacted by FreeAppMagic - they want to feature one of the apps I made free yesterday on their site today. Having just looked up how the previous few days apps have done in terms of the charts - I think it's a no-brainer!!

Question is - at what point do I turn it back paid?! lol

Usually it's 24 hours after they start featuring it. I think their rotation is set at 6pm GMT, but I can't remember.

Sorry, that was meant more as a rhetoric question, as in 'if it's flying high in the charts, shall I even bother making it paid again' (presuming the iAP is doing 'ok')... Tell you what though, the results are pretty god-damn impressive - 20k downloads in 12 hours can't be sniffed at! Currently #2 Utility in Spain and #31 overall (similar in Germany)!! I really don't think our servers would cope with similar rankings in the the USA LOL...

After last update of Dragon Lords client, I'm thinking about talking to FAM again, it's definitely worth the money.

It'll be interesting to see the iAP conversion ratio (or not!) later on today or better still tomorrow (after a full day free)...

Quite exciting doing something a bit different actually - and with our sales way off what they were, well worth a gamble IMO.

Well, just hit numero uno in Spain (and inside top 25 overall)! #5 in Germany. Servers in meltdown lol. Not bad considering I didn't have to do ANYTHING or part with any money!

Well, the figures are in, and it's nice to see another 25k people playing with the app, even if it means fuck-all financially! May as well get the word spread via non-Apple methods these days! Every little helps, so they say.

FWIW, it's now #1 in Spain, Italy, and Mexico amongst others. The Mexicans are crazy for it! 6.5k downloads there alone!
