How to open a new view

hey everybody
I am new to Xcode so I will have some beginners questions:D

what's the code for the action of opening a new view? or is it the right way to do?

I want to press a button and a new view appear on iPhone's screen

    ok I found it myself:D

    UIView *showData = [[UIView alloc] init];
    [UIView transitionWithView:self.view duration:0.5
    options:UIViewAnimationOptionTransitionCurlUp
    animations:^ { [self.view addSubview:showData]; }
    completion:nil];

    but this only do an animation and still leave me with the last view:(
    I have 2 xib files on my project, how can I change from one to the other?

    I found a better way;) storyboards
    and it works fine
