  • We do alot of mixing of UIKit with OpenGL. To handle this we simply add the UIKit as a subview to our OpenGL View. We don't involve any other controllers. Our scope is typically only table views or UIViews objects.
  • Just bear in mind that on OS 3.x when you get a call and answer it, the normal response of the phone is to terminate the app and then auto-relaunch it. OS 4.0 apps suspend it.

  • GM SDK will let you build up against 3.2 or 4.0. But you can set your deployment target lower. I believe they state it can only be 3.x+. But on my xCode it is showing lower (I have the GM SDK seed up and running).
