Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

  • Is it possible to monetize on units already sold?

Unless you want to make all users, including paid users, see ads, an update that adds them in is not a good way to monetize it. People don't like to see ads in an app they paid for usually.

Adding some worthwhile in app purchase functionality is really the best/safest way to monetize on those that grabbed the app while it was free if you want to keep it as a paid app. Even if you want to put it back to free with ads for everyone you will in effect be stealing the money of the people who did pay for it. Normally in this kind of situation if you want to add ads you would somehow flag the app on the devices that already paid with the update that adds in the ads. In this case though, since a lot of people who didn't pay would also be flagged you really have no way to tell who already paid and who didn't.

This is one of those learning experience deals that you want to try to remember for the next app most likely. Your best bet is to find some functionality that can be added on as an in app purchase.

  • Another round of search updates?

Great... dropped from #1 for this keyword (less populated keyword) to #5 last time which was bad but still "visible" in the initial results without scrolling... Now dropped again to #8 with the free version that was lower appearing right above now. Even worse, many I see above are not popular at all. And to top it all off, almost ALL of my competition which was on the market much later than me shot up above my app. *sigh* Hate to see if this was a more crowded keyword.

Interesting enough, the paid version of this app shows up 1st on the dropdown when entering the keyword (since the last time they messed up search) so I don't think there's any relation between that dropdown and actual results any more. It used to match up prior to the last update.
