Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

  • Contacted by Apple about promotional opportunity

I was contacted by Apple 9 days ago about promotional opportunity at the App Store. They requested promo graphics for my app (background art, title treatment, logo and icon). The person didn't give any promises but said it is possible that I will be featured in the store if the review staff approves. I figured the graphics will be used at the Featured page because it is the only fit (Editor's choice). You don't need any extra graphics even if they feature you in the New and Noteworthy.
The Featured page was refreshed twice since when I sent them the promo graphics (they do it every week on Thursday). But my application didn't make it even to the New and Noteworthy list. The question is if it is still possible that they feature my app in future? Did you have a similar experience when you were requested promo graphics but got featured lets say a few weeks later?
The Apple representative is not replying to me anymore and the anticipation is killing me. :-) I guess most likely it means they didn't like the application that much. But why would they request graphics if they were so uncertain about outcome? Pretty bummed about $700 I spent on the graphics and all the hopes and dreams.. But I understand it is just part of the business.
