Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

  • Why is sundays the best sales day?

This quite depends from country to country.

In US most people seem to mostly really work at work.

In Russia people enterntain themselves at work utilizing free connection in the office.
On week-ends traffic and sales drop there in oppozition to US.
The top day in Russia is Wednesday.

  • AdMob WTF?

In Feb'12 Admob has changed their pricing and banner optimization technique.

That was done just because people stopped sending money into nothing - anyone did know that Admob was an ineffective spend. Anyone esle could learn it by trying to spend some budget on it. They needed to give it a boost.

That lead it to be more effective for advertisers. However, it only worked a short period of time. Until not that much people were aware they can buy traffic for cheap and publishers left the Admob for networks that pay more - traffic available to Admob to serve seem to decreased quite significantly.

And now Admob seems to become a crap once again for both advertisers and publishers.

    Banner optimization seem to suck.

A few months ago you could easily get over 100k clicks daily with $0.01 bid for a banner with 2% CTR.

Now for the banner with same CTR you will get almost no clicks for $0.01 bid in same (US/EU) countries - and you won't be able to buy 100k clicks even if you set a relatively high bid ($0.10-$0.30 per click).

I thought that more and more ppl started to advertise there and the minimal bid has rised - but this doesn't seem to be the real case.

Well, if it would be the case it would perfectly work if you would rise the bid - but it doesn't help either.

If you will rise the bid up to $0.10-0.30 in a deperate need to get more traffic you will get almost same amount of clicks that you can get for a bid $0.02-$0.03 - but will pay for it much more.

How is that? Simple. The banner gets more and more impressions and less and less clicks that leads to a lower CTR and the banner virtually stops rotating regardless the higher bid due to the new banner optimization.

    So:
    1) new banner optimization doesn't work anymore for anyone's benefit
    2) advertisers can't spend really much if they need it
    3) publishers can't earn much more when there are no money in the system

I guess Admob will continue to die slowly until they won't come up with some changes that will bring more life into it.

It's going to end up with the situation when only small budget accidental advertisers will use it by occasion. Publishers thus will leave in favor of other networks. Advertisers will leave Admob too - especially big advertisers.

That's the only possible explanation with what's happening now in Admob I can come up with now.
