Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

  • Is it Even Worth Developing Apps?

personaly I do it because I wrongly thought that it's a bigger market thus you could sell more units. That is how I got into it. Now I believe that the best strategy model is to make spam apps. as fast and as ridiculous as you can. (spam apps can be games also)

The current structure of the app store does not favour true indie game developers for various reasons.

If you are going to spent months developing a game. And apple gives you the same exposure as with any other shitty app that was created in a few days then obviously you are better financially if you just keep flooding the app store and get that exposure. This is what apple is motivating people to do. And they are so retarded they don't even get it.

as I said before, they need to create a 'quality' section to the app store, or a new app-store and a junk-store app. to separate quality from crap.

but they are not going to do it because Jobs is dead and these retards just don't get it.

Just like they don't get that by promoting the same old and same old apps in all categories they don't maximise the general revenue of the app store.

I've seen Angry birds already, I've bought it. I've bought cut the rope. I've bought these things. they are great but I am not going to bought them twice!
They promote them for those who just got a new device, but that way they shrink their revenue. because how about the millions that already have the devices and they are bored to death by the same old? It's in their best interest to promote as bigger variety as you can but they just don't see it.

Ironically they advertise that they have 500.000 apps on their store..
only you can't find them cause apple is hiding them from you.

and they do the same with the podcasts.

you go to a category.. they show you 20 shows.. and that's it. no more!!

they are hiding from you all the amazing variety and creativity.

My favourite shows that I am listening to, I can't find them by browsing. Only by searching them very carefully i can spot them. And I didn't discover them from their i-tunes store the first place..

And I am a guy who pays for stuff. I just don't like being force fed!
