Please do not post the same thing multiple times. The board software automatically flags certain posts as needing moderator attention. This happens the most often for new users. I'm pretty sure this is made clear at the time you attempt to post. Posting the same thing over and over again just makes that many more posts the moderators have to weed through later. This makes us sad. Don't make us sad. If your post/thread doesn't appear, just wait a while. Don't post it again. If it hasn't shown up by the next day, then you can try again. I normally go through posts in the mornings, and try to check a few times throughout the day, but I'm not here 24/7. There will typically be a significant delay before posts are approved. Just be patient.

  • WebView returns error, but page is all done

    Hi.
    I am using a UIWebView to display mobile web pages.
    It works all fine, but sometimes an error message keep popping up, even though the page is all done.

    I am using this error message handling:
    - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)webView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError *)error
    {
    // load error, hide the activity indicator in the status bar
    [UIApplication sharedApplication].networkActivityIndicatorVisible = NO;

    UIAlertView *errorAlert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@\"Feilmelding\"
    message:@\"Kunne ikke vise websiden.\"
    delegate:self
    cancelButtonTitle:@\"OK\"
    otherButtonTitles:nil];
    [errorAlert show];
    [errorAlert release];
    }

    Try to trap and confirm the error code. Put an if to void the undesired error code. I am attaching my codes for your info.

    - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)webView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError *)error
    {
    int myErrorCode;

    myErrorCode = [error code]; // myErrorCode = -999 if user cancel action
    if (myErrorCode != -999)
    {
    // load error, hide the activity indicator in the status bar
    // report the error inside the webview
    UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Connection Error!" message:@"Unable to connect to the website." delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles:@"OK", nil];
    [alert show];
    }
    }
